I love these hoofpicks, haha. I have about half a dozen I made while I was in school. Every time I had to pull a shoe I saved it to make a pick.
The only downside is not having the brush end which I find very helpful when picking feet -- especially in preparation for taking sole pressure. Helps me see what I'm doing, haha.
